Even though humanism is present everywhere in what was once called the Christian World it is amazing how many Christians are not aware of this "religious" system. In one way it isn’t surprising because most modern humanists attempt to discourage the fact that this is a religion.

In the first Humanist Manifest they did publically acknowledge it was a religion.

• "While this age does owe a vast debt to the traditional religions, it is none the less obvious that any religion that can hope to be a synthesizing and dynamic force for today must be shaped for the needs of this age. To establish such a religion is a major necessity of the present."

It is easy to recognize that Atheism is joined with Humanism. However, the practice of Humanism is alive and well in many facets of society.

One of the signatories of the first Humanist Manifest was John Dewey, known as the father of modern "progressive" education – a pillar of government schools for the last 80 years.

• "Religious humanists regard the universe as self-existing and not created. … Humanism believes that man is a part of nature and that he has emerged as a result of a continuous process." The newest humanist documents do not quite go to the same detail which allows for people to consider God and evolution as working together as long as God isn’t part of government or the public for that matter.

However Dewey did think that God was passé and worked hard to change education to resemble Soviet style schooling with situational ethics as long as it supported the current environment of liberty for the masses.

• "We are convinced that the time has passed for theism, deism, modernism, and the several varieties of 'new thought.' With this belief these people have aggressively pursued a separation of state and religion with the sole agenda that religion should play no role at all in the state. This is opposed to the historical reality of the British Commonwealth and the US Constitutional framers. (See previous powerpoint on Separation of Church and State)

More importantly is how this attitude plays out in everyday life in our governments. God created a society in Israel where the people were to be taught God’s commandments. An absolute set of rights and wrongs. Judges were to settle a disagreement between people but the people were free to do good under God.

Exodus 18:20-22 "Teach them the decrees and laws, and show them the way to live and the duties they are to perform. But select capable men from all the people--men who fear God, trustworthy men who hate dishonest gain--and appoint them as officials over thousands, hundreds, fifties and tens. Have them serve as judges for the people at all times, but have them bring every difficult case to you; the simple cases they can decide themselves. That will make your load lighter, because they will share it with you."

This society of Israel was a free market society with judges to make sure people remained honest. The people were told they should support the stranger, fatherless, widow and the people that served them but were not forced to do so by a government.

• "The humanists are firmly convinced that existing acquisitive and profit-motivated society has shown itself to be inadequate. … A socialized and cooperative economic order must be established to the end that the equitable distribution of the means of life be possible."

This means they support socialism or communism like Senator Ted Kennedy who stated, "the only reason that system didn’t work is because I wasn’t running it."

Most youths, including over 90% of Christian youths, have grown up with this teaching being the ONLY one in our school system. The influence has been there whether we noticed it or not. The children were taught there is no God by teaching science is above God (religion) and that there are no moral absolutes. "Fairness" then gets determined by who is in power and the end then justifies the means for my liberty. The whole concept of liberty or freedom is then redefined in the hands of those who are in power, for what actions you can take or not take is determined by them.

This contrasting influence is why so many Christians have no idea how to interact with government. They hear we must take care of the poor and agree when in reality they are saying I will take your money and give it to others I value more then you. The others are not necessarily the fatherless, stranger and the widow but often the new intelligentsia class, teachers, bureaucrats, government employees, and their supporters. The new Caesar takes enough of your money that you now can only afford to have Caesar raise your children and teach them. Thus the promotion of this religion repeats itself through the second generation so that very few have any understanding of God’s moral absolutes and the concept of liberty and freedom God wanted us to have.

Parents are commanded by God to teach their children. They must teach them that God is, that He created all things after their own kind, and all of His absolute laws. They are commanded to do this in their home and when they are out, at all times, not just by taking them to church once in awhile for someone else to do it.

Children growing up with that moral leadership (Parents are supposed to be examples of what they are teaching too!) should display a responsibility based attitude. Regardless of what others do I must do what is right, that is my responsibility. They will think lieing, stealing (even songs, movies on the internet) is wrong. They won't attempt to justify it. The same children will grow up attempting to be clean, not wasteful, but will feel free to use the natural resources God provided for their good (animals and lands).

On the other hand, those who have had no such moral upbringing will cling to nature being of more value then any human life. They will use any means to get to what they consider a just end. Some say this is not a correct interpretation of humanism but it is definitely an accurate one. They intend to force their values on the world because they think they can control the world and make it better. They lie in evolution discussions, they deny observable science to support their viewpoint. This is why so many lies are told with respect to Global Warming. No one believes that more pollution is better but with more people we have more carbon dioxide producing devices. Global Warming Fanatics want everyone to succumb to a world where they take the funds and use them as they deem best in your interests. They control your acts and your ability to act. The really strong disciples of Global Warming believe there are too many humans and your children should be stopped from existing.

God said, "be fruitful and multiply". Jesus said, "For God so loved the world that He gave His only Son, that whosoever believeth in Him (Jesus) shall not perish (cease to be) but have eternal life."

Observable things in nature (true science) support the Bible. History teaches us that the biblical moral absolutes are a huge value to society. Despite those facts, the modern humanist movement that controls our governments and educational facilities teach otherwise. They do it subtly through socialism, diversity and supposed science. They do it by twisting meanings of words like gay, liberal, progressive and liberty. Be skeptical of those who want to run the world.
