Rick Dubler

Co-Pastor, Kitchener & London

My family immigrated to Canada from Switzerland in 1953. We lived in rural south-western Ontario for most of my life. The early years were tough as my parents struggled to make ends meet.

I first came in contact with the Church of God in the early 70’s through my wife’s family. I read a booklet “Proof of the Bible” which started me a life-long road to search out the truth. Grace and I were married in 1972 and in December of that same year began to regularly attend with the World Wide Church of God in Kitchener. In 1974 the year that I was baptized we were blessed with a son, Adam. 31 years later that blessing expanded to include a daughter in law Alyson. And again with two very special grandchildren Jack and Audrey life has taken on new heights of joy. We all meet together in the Kitchener congregation where we have attended for many years.

I was ordained on the Feast of Trumpets in 2015 and co-pastor the Kitchener as well as the London Church. God has blessed us in so many ways some of which I have already listed but the list is a very long one. It is a great privilege to serve the brethren who are a wonderful source of inspiration to our family. God willing we will continue to serve in whatever way our Father leads as we wait in great anticipation for the imminent return of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.

Bernard Wilson

Co-Pastor, London & Toronto

I was called to God’s service as a teen in Jamaica. Being heavily influenced by my father who was a pastor and evangelist in a Sabbath keeping church: I began to study and teach the scriptures as a youth. I served as national youth leader, and later pastor in that church community.

In 2003 I was invited to a study led by the late pastor Ian Boyne on the subject of the Annual Holy Days. After studying the subject I was enlightened, I accepted the teaching and immediately pointed some members of my former church to this new understanding of God’s word.

I migrated to Canada in 2005 and soon became a member of the CGI Toronto congregation. I dedicated myself to service and contributed to the formation and implementation of a discipleship program, a mentorship program and a theological development program.
The year 2016 was significant. Not only did I become a deacon in the church, but was married to my lovely wife Jessie. The union produced a son, Hunter, who along with my three older children from a previous marriage; Craig, Shannon and Waldo, brings much joy to our lives.

I was ordained an elder on February 19, 2022. I continue to serve as co - pastor of the Toronto and London congregations. Having been driven by the love of truth since my baptism, I will continue to proclaim the truth of God’s word with the hope of making truth the norm rather than the exception.
