Pro-Life or Anti-Abortion … Let your voice be heard! 5 Fast Facts

Today, March 23, 2022, Senator Lindsey Graham masterfully “made a point” during the hearings to confirm Supreme Court Nominee Ketanji Brown Jackson (who is believed to be a strong supporter of a woman’s right to abortion).

Rather than bickering and arguing about “when” human life begins … Senator Graham simply makes a subtle point…

Senator Lindsey Graham: Can an unborn child feel pain at 20 weeks in the birthing process?

Supreme Court Nominee Ketanji Brown Jackson: Senator, I don’t know

Senator Lindsey Graham: Are you aware… the fact that anesthesia is provided to the unborn child (at that time period) if there’s an operation to save the baby’s life, because they CAN( in fact) feel pain? Are you aware that?

Supreme Court Nominee Ketanji Brown Jackson: I am not aware of that …

Senator Lindsey Graham: Well, that may come before you one day, so just keep an open mind … that’s the only thing I ask you to do…

Advocating for the unborn, does not need to be an uncivil shouting match … in this example, the Senator was simply imparting a fact, that he hopes might “give someone pause” to consider, in the discussion of the “laws concerning abortion”.

Is the fetus merely a “clump of cells”? … or a sentient being (ie able to perceive or feel things)? It is not a wild-eyed conservative, but the “medical profession” that is making the point that – as early as 20 weeks – a fetus feels pain… AND …now that we know – do we “accept the science”? Does it change our view of when a fetus might be considered a human life? Or what forms of abortion might be cruel?

Clearly, having “good facts” can make a real difference when discussing controversial subjects. If you would like some “added information” to allow you to “have a voice” in the Abortion discussion, please “click here” to see the “5 Fast Facts” one page blurb discussing Abortion.
