We live in dangerous times, to say the least. The Christian knows this and should have no second guess that many of the prophecies of the Holy Bible are fulfilling before our eyes, but the end is not yet. There are others to come.
What we see unfolding is just the birth pangs or beginning of sorrows of the tumultuous time ahead for every living human being. None can escape what lies ahead.
You, as a Christian, know of a time when humans shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy.
A time when they will be without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good.
We, as followers of the Way, should know when we see people being traitors, heady, high-minded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God. They will have a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof. The Holy Word of God warns we should turn away from such people. In other words, we should be careful how we interact with them.
For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts. They are always learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.
These people resist the truth: they have corrupt minds, and are reprobate concerning the faith. You, as a child of God, should know them.
You, as a Christian, should know true doctrines, the right way to live before God, your purpose in life, have faith in God, know what longsuffering means, practice charity, and have patience.
As a child of God, you know the challenges that lie ahead of us. The Bible warns all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution. We should not be surprised at the evil happening around us and a prevailing perception of society not knowing good from evil. You should know that we have to keep bracing ourselves for the situation will get worse before it gets better; that evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived.
What shall we do then? What does the Bible say we should do in light of the prevailing evil penetrating every strata of society? It advises us to continue thou in the things, which thou hast learned and hast been assured of, knowing of whom thou hast learned them; And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.
You know, and cannot say, no one warned about the impending doom. If you are a true Christian, you should count yourself worthy to escape the wrath of God, which will be unleashed upon an unsuspecting populace. It’s coming for sure, and you should know!
